William Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet – Film In Concert in Clearwater
William Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet – Film In Concert brings the celebrated tragedy to the screen with a live concert setting, pairing Shakespeare's story of love and fate with music performed in a concert-hall environment. This event is scheduled for March 2, 2027, at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, Florida. The event is listed on ticketssarasota.org under Other and Film.
Shakespeare's tragedy follows the young lovers Romeo and Juliet as a long-running feud between their families shapes their lives. The play has inspired countless stage, film, and musical interpretations, making a film-in-concert presentation a distinctive way to experience its dramatic story. Specific production details, including the film version, musical performers, and any opening acts, have not been provided.
Clearwater audiences can enjoy the presentation in a dedicated performing arts venue rather than a traditional cinema. Prices currently start around $40, with final costs depending on seat location and availability.
Venue and Seating Information
Ruth Eckerd Hall is a 2,180-seat performing arts venue at 1111 McMullen Booth Road. Its Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired auditorium uses continental seating, with no center aisle, and is designed to provide clear sightlines and strong acoustics throughout the hall.
The auditorium has Orchestra, Mezzanine, and Balcony levels. Orchestra seats place guests closest to the stage, while the Mezzanine offers an elevated view and a useful balance of proximity and perspective. The Balcony provides a broader view from farther away. Because there is no center aisle, aisle or near-aisle seats may be more convenient for entering and exiting rows.
Parking Information
Free self-parking is available on-site at Ruth Eckerd Hall. The main A-Lot is beside the venue entrance; when it fills, attendants direct arriving guests to available overflow lots. Valet parking may also be offered for an additional cost at select events.
